Manor Car
Each Manor car has a name which comes to us from the earliest days of North American British colonies, honouring noted administrators and explorers from that period. VIA Rail typically uses these cars on the Toronto -Vancouver (the Canadian) route. Each passenger room comes with a dedicated washroom, comprised of a toilet and sink. Additionally, two double bedrooms can be arranged to form a Romance by Rail suite, including a queen-sized bed!
Château Car
Each Château car has a name which comes to us from the earliest days of North American French colonies, honouring noted administrators and explorers from that period. VIA Rail normally uses these cars on the Winnipeg- Churchill and Montréal- Gaspé routes. Sometimes they are required in the spring and summer on the Toronto-Vancouver route. On board, each passenger’s room comes with a dedicated washroom, comprised of a toilet and sink.
