Single Bedroom (Roomette)
This entirely private room is roughly 2.23 sq m (24 sq ft), making it ideal for lone travellers. A comfortable sofa chair by day converts to a cosy bed by night. When the bed is down, it takes up just about all the room and covers the toilet. The door locks from the inside only with no individual keys. Shared toilet and shower facilities are nearby.
There are eight roomettes in a Château car available in two different configuration options: the upper roomette requires you to step up into the sleeping compartment from the main floor of the car, with the bed pulling DOWN from the wall; the Lower roomette is on the same level as the rest of the sleeping car and the bed pulls OUT from the wall. The Manor car has four roomettes, all on the floor-level.
Double Bedroom
These roomier quarters for two allow greater freedom, peace and quiet in complete privacy. Every room features two cushy armchairs, a large picture window, a private toilet and mirror over sink with electrical razor outlet (110 vac).
During the night, the two armchairs collapse to make way for upper and lower bunks. Most beds lie at right angles with the length of the train and can provide for anyone up to 1.8 metres (6 ft) in height with no trouble. The door locks from the inside only, with no individual keys. Access to a shower room is only a few steps down the hall.
For families or those wanting extra space, two double bedrooms may be combined into one spacious suite (subject to availability). In addition, bedroom “F,” which is only available in the Manor car, has almost 0.6 metres (2 ft) wider floor space than any other double bedroom.

1⁄1⁄Shower and Changing Room
With the exception of the Park car, all HEP 1 (Stainless Steel) sleeping cars have shower facilities that include several amenities for your safety and convenience, including a bench seat, changing area, grab-bars and temperature controls. Those lodging in the Park car are welcome to use the shower facilities in the adjacent car.
